Primula vialii
Primula vialii was discovered in wet meadows, or near water in high valleys of SW Sichuan and northern Yunnan in southern China by Pere Delvay in 1988 and he named it after his friend Pere Vial.
It is an excellent and unusual garden plant for cool moist areas which are free draining.
The many flowers that make up the unusual flower spike appear to to be violet in colour but are in fact violet and white. There is available a white form but the original is much more colourful.
