Coprosma wallii is classified as "at risk declining"
These photos were taken at Marble Hill, Lewis Pass in early November 2023.
Here it is growing in a fenced area with Melicytus flexuosus another rare shrub. Both are doing exceptionally well.
Nearby is Evison’s Wall a geological experiment started in 1964, the 24m-long wall was built across the Alpine Fault to establish how the fault was moving. The wall has not moved yet!For more information go to
